Board Meeting Minutes – August 2026

BOARD MEETING

Thursday, August 27, 2026

6:00 PM

MINUTES

1. Call to Order and Establish of Quorum – 6:05PM Carrie,Chris,Shelley,Cori and Meg

2. Approve Meeting Minutes – Approved over email

3. Cash Summary – Through 7/31/2026Thank you Meg!

Operating Account $17,035.72

Reserve Fund $56,441.25

$20,000 of last year’s $40,000 surplus was transferred back to the Operating account to help cover the $15,785 tree maintenance expense. The transfer has been recorded as a loan from Reserves and will be repaid to the Reserve account when funds are available.

4. Manager’s Report – Since last board meeting
   1. Rust area on 63^rd Street sign fixed Thank you Chris for taking care of this.
   2. Toys and books removed from playground, leaving the three large trucks
   3. Concrete pad installation scheduled for next week
   4. Basketball court coating replacement scheduled for next week
   5. Metal trash cans replaced with same style
   6. Young Tree – South Side of Park: The tree is not in good condition. Josh pruned the dead top while onsite, but the tree will likely need to be removed.
   7. Small Oak Tree – Pocket Garden: Has Kermes scale but is currently too small to treat. Josh manually removed the visible scale from the tree. Josh will keep an eye on it.

5. Old Business
   1. Increase in visitors to park Board discussed this issue at length and it was agreed that there is nothing that can be done at this time due to the declarations prohibiting adding any new members to the park.
   2. Additional dog bag dispenser at playground Board agreed not to place any more dog bag dispensers at  this time.
   3. Memorials
      • Tree & shrubs pricing  Board agreed to only have memorials in the form of a purchase of a bench or a picnic table. Cori makes the motion and Shelley 2nds, all in favor
        • Trees:
          • 1” $400-$700 depending on variety planted and staked 
          • 1.5” $700-$1,100 depending on variety 
          • 2” – $900-$1,300
        • Shrubs: $100-$200

Additional costs/considerations: Watering and fence border

6. New Business The board discussed trying to limit the emails to only must read and decide issues ASAP.

7. Homeowner Open Forum There were no homeowners present.
